Although I'm new to the way of MGTOW, I can tell that what they have done, both the fictional character in the SVU episode and the real life perpetrator in which March, committed serious crimes by targeting their intended victims. Even though MGTOW has arisen in response to the growing frustration that men have when their relationship with women has gone downhill, resorting to violence is simply not the way a MGTOWer should do. In any case, both of these perpetrators came off as needy, desperate men who simply wanted to have social interaction with people of both sexes. While their desperation for social interaction and their subsequent rejection can provide enough motive for them to pull off this heinous crime, their attacks on women can be considered misogynistic.
This is how a MGTOWer should have responded to a situation similar to the one facing SVU's Holden March and the real life Elliot Rodger: follow these advices that I have written in my previous post.
From "Resisting the Temptation to Enter a Relationship":
1) Confidence is the key. Get to know the girl you want to talk to, and pick up a topic that she is most likely to be interested in, even if you don't have any knowledge on the topic she likes.
2) Observe how guys talk to women. Do NOT talk to the guys who just finished a conversation with their lady friends or they'll see you as some competition that isn't worth it.
3) If you are frustrated by your stereotypical outlook, embrace it. Use your stereotype to your advantage and do whatever you want to do with your life.
However, if you really want to enter a relationship with any woman of your own choosing, do it at a good place. A school, a library, a park, and possibly a nightclub. When you go clubbing and you meet the women there, chances are that they're there on a "girls' night out" and they're most likely taken by suitors already. Just engage in simple conversation, but only give them your phone number when they ask you. Remember, resorting to violence against women is not the way of MGTOW, and it would only make our cause more difficult by the political mudslinging, and the epithets that are thrown at MGTOWers: misogynists, sexists, wife-beaters, etc.
